An Ancient, Effective Health Solution

At Dr. Lichter and Associates, we offer a variety of services to help you find relief and wellness. One of these is an ancient solution that has been around for thousands of years. When you compare it to the pharmaceutical industry that has only been around for about 100 years, it makes sense that this older option is probably a pretty effective solution to have stuck around for so long!

Musculoskeletal Problems and More

acupuncture needlesI recommend acupuncture for a wide range of health conditions. Most people think of it as a treatment for pain in the back and neck. You might be surprised to hear that acupuncture is a principle, not a technique. There are points in your body that have different physiological effects. For example, the stimulation of certain areas may reduce inflammation or pain while others may reduce cravings. We have seen great success with acupuncture for

  • Addiction cessation
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Insomnia
  • Menopausal symptoms
  • Neck and back pain

The Initial Consultation

Your first appointment will be a consultation. This process may involve an examination called Electro Meridian Imaging™, or EMI™. An EMI™ is a noninvasive, painless test that evaluates how energy flows through your body and which area may need to be addressed.

Receiving Painless, Effective Care

The needles used in acupuncture are thin, hair-like and different from any other needles used in medical care. If you feel anxious about needles, we have other solutions available. The necessary points can be stimulated with electric stimulation or a laser and will show the same results. If you allow us to, we will do a test needle, and you will likely be surprised to find out that you cannot feel a thing!

Hope for Failed Back Surgeries

Acupuncture has worked well for patients who have experienced failed back surgery. If you have screws or plates in your spine, you may not be a candidate for chiropractic care. Acupuncture could be a last hope. We have seen patients with multiple back surgeries that have been on medications for years or even decades. They have been able to get off their painkillers and add years to their life with acupuncture. Contact us today to learn more about our acupuncture service.
